Melissa Cameron, MS, LPC, opened her first two small businesses in 2003. What originally set out to be a side gig while working as a Business Analyst was actually the beginning of a life of small business ownership. ORA is a tribute to the persistence and hardwork of small business ownership, following the footsteps of her grandparents entrepreneurial spirit. Melissa enjoys being a helper, building welcoming communities, and is passionate about empowering others in her work.

Melissa’s Yoga Background

  • Opened first business focusing on childbirth education classes in 2003 which eventually added prenatal yoga and mommy + me yoga in 2005 (Natural Lullabies)
  • 2005 – Attended first yoga teacher training
  • 2011 – Began hosting I AM Yoga Festival which continued annually until 2019
  • 2012 – Opened first yoga studio originally called I AM Yoga, Art + Music studio at 6th and Peoria.
  • 2013 – 2016 – taught yoga classes at Tulsa area yoga studios, gyms, outdoor classes weekly, and online classes including Yoga in the Park.
  • 2016 – Opened second yoga studio named Cherry Street Yoga then renamed to I AM Yoga. This location stayed open until 2025.
  • 2017 – facilitated first Yoga Mentorship Program
  • 2019 – facilitated first 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training
  • 2025 – Opened ORA: mind + body
